There is no cure for “foot in mouth disease.” I’m happy to report that LeBron James has a terminal case.
In his post-game remarks Sunday night, LeBron said he does not care what people are saying about him after losing to Dallas in the NBA playoffs. AP basketball writer Brian Mahoney passed along some tasty morsels.
“They have to wake up tomorrow and have the same life they had before they woke today. They have the same personal problems they had today. I’m going to continue to live the way I want to live and continue to do the things that I want to do.
“They can get a few days or a few months, or whatever the case may be, on being happy about not only myself, but the Miami Heat not accomplishing their goal. But they have to get back to the real world at some point.”
Here’s LeBron, lecturing us about reality, the guy who’s been living in a dream world since he reached the age of puberty.
Our real life just got a hell of a lot happier, thanks to another fourth quarter choke job by Lebron. We’ll be happy for more than a few months. We’ll be happy until the Heat is eliminated from the playoffs again next year, at which time we’ll be even happier.
And what’s best, when we wake up in the morning, there aren’t 100 million people pointing their fingers at us and calling us “asshole.”
Is it true that the Miami Heat team physician is a proctologist? If not, they need one.
Here in Cleveland, the skies are blue, the sun is out and it’s 72 degrees. Channel 8 is holding a victory parade in front of the station live on the 5, 6 and 7 o’clock news shows. They’re calling it a tribute to the Mavaliers. Today just keeps getting better.
That’s all for now. Signing off.
